When I write, I often make reference to God. On July 12, 2009, at approximately 11 am, I asked Jesus into my heart. Since then, Jesus has
become the center of my life, and as I grow stronger in my faith, I experience more and more joy at the path I’ve taken.
- I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and that He was born of a virgin.
- I believe in the Trinity; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Spirit.
- I believe that I am a sinner. So I have asked forgiveness for my sins, and I’ve turned away from them.
- I believe that Jesus died for our sins, and that He rose from the dead three days later.
- I believe that there is a Heaven.
- I believe that we have an enemy: Satan. I believe that he and his demons will try to deceive me and discourage my faith.
- I believe that God has a plan for my life; His plan is for good, and it gives my life meaning and direction.
Like everyone else, I face challenges. My challenges are unique to me, but since well all face something, we can help each other. As a believer, I struggle with what I face, but it is God who gets me through. The root of my ability to persevere through challenges is the strength that I get from God. He has shown me, time and time again, that He will care for me and provide for my needs, because His love is eternal. Every time He proves these things to me, my trust in Him grows stronger. This is a joy that I long to share with others, and I will do so every chance that I get.
“Praise be to the Lord, for He has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him and I am helped.
My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him in song.” Psalm 28:6-7 NIV
